PROJECT 2-Site Visit

In 9 February 2018,we start our trip from UCSI University and we spent almost 4 hours to reach Ipoh.

The first place of visit is the Tanjung Tualang Dredge No. 5.It is a unique relic from Malaysia’s tin mining heydays, weighs 4,500 tons and is supported by a pontoon of 75 meters in length, 35 meters in width and 3 meters in depth. It was built in England in 1938 by F.W.Payne & Son which, at that time, was a major design engineering company in bucket line dredges.

The next place was the Papan also was our main visit place. When i walked in Papan, there is different with my imagine. In my imagine, Papan is a empty city and ruined however the reality is there have a lot of people live there but most of them are old men.We just spent 2 hours at there and leave.

We spent all day in there to collect the site analysis and to understand the history at there at next day.We not just to knew Sybil's history,we also to know the history of the town and almost forget by people.

There is a quiet and peaceful place,I can sensed the feel of kampong in there, this is a feeling I have long time didn't to sense.Maybe we can try to slow down our step to see,to heard and to touch the things around us.
